So today I was feeding our daughter (she’s 2 weeks today). Well my dog came over by us while she was on my lap/the boppy. My dog ripped out Hailey’s umbilical cord and ate it... yep, that happened. My daughter just laid there like nothing happened. She probably handled it better than my husband and me. I of course was a basket case and started to cry. We also called the pediatrician and it seems like it will be ok (it bled but seems like it has clotted). We’ve also apologized to Hailey and told her if her belly button is jacked up it is her dog’s fault. I’m sure this will be a funny story in the future but this mommy needs a drink right now after that.
