Stubborn dogs and new baby?

I have two small dogs, one is 11 the other is 5 and they’re both not the best listeners and have bad habits. We’ve tried 2 separate times over the last 8 months to start crate training to prep for the baby but both times have been a complete nightmare. At one point we were waking up 3+ times a night taking them out or trying to figure out what the problem was. We currently have the 11 yr old in the kennel but he whines throughout the night on and off although it’s improved. We still have to let him out at least once. Our other dog used to be fine with kenneling but over the last month she won’t stop scratching and hitting the kennel. It’s loud and non-stop and keeps us up. I’m not sure if her behavior is because she knows a baby is coming or what. So we gave up with her, she’s in our bed again. Anyone have any tips or ideas about how to make this smooth? Our baby is due in 7 weeks and I can’t imagine having 2 out of control dogs plus a baby. Thanks!
