Question about starting pills late

I’m usually good about taking my pills on time, but for this month, I’m going to be starting them late. I’m supposed to start a new pack today, but my mom is sick and I can’t drive. She is going to try to get them tomorrow or the next day. The pills are my only method of protection. Is it still okay to have sex this week without worrying about being pregnant or should I wait until next week?
