Can baby catch HSV-2 from normal contact?

Hey so I’m kind of freaking out... my sister thought she had a yeast infection but just learned it’s actually HSV-2, aka genital herpes (which is ironic because she’s a virgin— she just has a really weak immune system and somehow caught it. Not making this up. GYN was blown away). She’d been holding my baby earlier, who has been teething and loves to chew on fingers.

I’m so worried that my baby might catch herpes. I know HSV-2 isn’t nearly as infectious as HSV-1, but should I be worried? Ugh, I’m kicking myself for even the risk of exposure.
