When would you tell your parents you’re pregnant?

We are TTC for our first baby. But we’re curious as to what other couples think about this topic...
When is the right time to tell your parents or close family?
I know some ppl wait until they pass first trimester and some just tell right away...
When were you all thinking to reveal your pregnancies when you become pregnant?!

Okay, we had our first BFP last June and immediately told our parents, siblings, and closest of close friends, but told them it wasn’t going to be public knowledge til further in the pregnancy. Our thinking was, if I did suffer a miscarriage, I would tell all these people I had experienced a miscarriage ANYWAY, as we are that close and we would want the support. So why not just let them share in the journey, and pray for a healthy pregnancy with us! We did end up losing the pregnancy at 6 weeks and that small group of people were our strength and support leading up to the confirmation of mc and the weeks following. To each woman her own, but for me, if I were to do it again I wouldn’t change a thing. Miscarriage is very painful and isolating...but by telling this small group of people I love and trust that we were pregnant, I had a built-in safety net (several of them having experienced mc themselves) that kept me from retreating into a dark place when the mc happened. It was a strange thing to be grieving so deeply while also feeling so uplifted by all these amazing humans who cried with and prayed with and fed me and distracted me during the aftermath. I experienced strong emotions on both ends of the spectrum, instead of only one. I am lucky to have such genuine people around me, if you have people like that around you, too, then that would be my advice. Once you mc it’s hard to function, much less reach out for support from people who didn’t know you were pregnant in the first place. There’s sort of an obligation to be open to help from others if you have to tell people the news because they already knew about the pregnancy. That’s my experience <3

I had a chemical pregnancy last month. My period came a week after I got my BFP. We had only told our best friends. We were thinking to wait until after our first doctors appt which was going to be at 9 weeks. Ultimately I look at it like who would you want to be there for you or if you need anyone in case you miscarry. Good luck. Baby dust.

I’m 7 weeks today and DH and I haven’t told anyone (I did tell one person in scheduling at my work and my immediate supervisor as I work in healthcare around patients on chemo drugs/haz meds)
We will tell our families after the 8 wk ultrasound pic 😍 
My office and friends will know around 12weeks
Facebook won’t know until a baby shower or something. Much later
I have too many friends having a hard time conceiving that I don’t want to do a big formal social media post announcement. I plan on a “Christmas card” type photo card that I will mail out around 12 weeks to family and friends all over. (I kept our wedding spreadsheet of addresses!) 
So this is our personal plan on sharing our news ❤️ 
I’m dying to tell my mom, but really want to tell in person with the ultrasound pic and not on phone!! The wait is killing me
