Cycle day 33...HELP

Today I am 3 days late.... my calendar said I was getting my period on the 8th and it’s the 10th. Saturday took a test and it was negative and this morning I took another one and it was also negative.... I’m regularly 1 day late or one day early but no more then that.. now the calendar says I will be getting my period in 2 days... could it be that I was sick for 3 weeks with the flu and cold and maybe that’s why I am late? My husband and I have been trying since November and I don’t like getting my hopes up.
