1 month growth spurt??

My baby is 5 weeks and 2 days. Yesterday he’s slept basically all day and slept through the night and is STILL sleeping right now and it’s 9 am. I fed him 3 hours ago when he naturally woke up. He’s gaining weight well but he’s only had 2.5 oz from that one bottle. I hear you don’t wake a sleeping baby but wow he’s sleeping SO much. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is this a growth spurt thing?? Idk.

My daughter nicu doctors told me every 4 hours to wake her up to eat, even though the night, unless she ate well that day(every 2-3hours and 2-3oz).. you don’t really want them going over 4hours. 
And a growth spurt is where the baby cluster feeds(eats more than normal)

Usually growth spurts require more eating, not less. If he’s formula fed he may be able to go longer stretches sleeping. If he’s breastfeeding, wake him up.

I would wake the baby. My baby always sleeps more during growth spurts and eats less because she falls asleep after barely eating anything. But always offer the bottle

Some babies sleep more during growth spurts and their eating schedule changes. If he has been gaining weight normally- I would just let him sleep and follow his cues.
