Last Friday I went to my anatomy scan and cervical length check and good not so good news. I was told my cervix shorten about 1/2 the initial length and I need to get a cerclage placed. At first the MFM doctor made it seem like not a big deal, but later found out I had to be admitted, observed and treated with antibiotics the day before the surgery and kept overnight and observed and given more antibiotics. So what I thought would be an in and out procedure turned into two night hospital admission and being taken our of work probably for the rest of my pregnancy. Everything went well with the surgery and I had no symptoms or signs of early labor. In hind sight, God put me in the right place at the right time with the right people and we are praying for a healthy term baby.
