We added to our family.

Me

I posted before in a different group about a stray cat we had taken in only to find out that she had cancer and she passed away very quickly right before Christmas.

Well, we spent some time talking about it and realized that we really enjoyed having a cat and since we have the resources and time to care for a cat and the entire household really loved having a cat that we should adopt a cat.

We went to the shelter because we felt that was best place to find a cat that really needed a family. At first we looked at kittens, but that didn't quite feel right for us, so we moved on to the adult cats. The shelter volunteer told us that the adult, male cats are usually the last to get adopted and often don't make it out of the shelter. Then we saw Turbo.

Turbo is a 4 year old male who was found on the street and picked up by animal control. The shelter had already neutered him and microchipped him; he had been given all of his shots. We asked to take him out of his cage to see if he liked us and he hugged me like humans hug each other. He was definitely what we were looking for. So, we brought him home.

Now he's my constant companion and spends the majority of his time hugging my baby bump. He loves to headbutt (bunting) my face and he prettyuch purra constantly. He's also HUGE! He stands about 18 inches high on all fours and is significantly longer when he stretches. He weighs 13 pounds. He's my big, sweet baby! So happy we found him!
