Failed 1 hr?

Question

I failed the 1 hr test with 161 ... has anyone else failed with a number that high but passed the 3 hr. I go in Tuesday. I’m so sad and nervous and scared.

Answer

I failed the one hour with 180, but also failed the three hour. However, I’ve heard of many ladies passing the three hour after seeing levels up into the 200’s for the first test. 
Don’t get discouraged! Find a way to laugh when stressed. Decompress. I did a lot of meditation and spent a lot of time with my family before my three hour. Despite being diagnosed, I’m still learning to cope positively. 
Gestational Diabetes does not mean you have failed as a mother. It’s actually the placenta’s fault and is completely beyond your control. I’m in excellent shape and have never been a big sugar eater, so the only thing that bothers me about GD are the stigmas held against it. 
I’m actually eating more often than ever before, managing my sugar, and everything seems to be going well so far. So whether you pass or not, it’s never the end of the world. You still have a wonderful baby coming into your life either way.
