Thoughts on your S.O going through your phone?

So my S.O has no reason to worry whatsoever but when I’m on my phone a lot ie, on here or chatting to girly mates or work girls, when I’m in the shower for example, he is checking my phone. 
I know this because when I look at the history I can see what I last went on and I usually keep it clear so I don’t end up with lots. Also things like the screen I leave it on, it’s on a different one and things like that! 
Just feel like some support and feedback and what to say and do? I have confronted him before when he’s done it and he point blank denys it.

I don’t trust anyone who feels the need to go through my phone. It’s not that I have anything to hide, it’s just that I don’t think it’s necessary, and it establishes a lack of trust.
To me, it’s a red flag that he may be doing something behind your back and is now worried you’re doing something as well. 
A conversation can help clear up why he doesn’t trust you and feels the need to check.

My husband and I have the passwords to each other’s phones and we are completely ok with the other person looking at our phones because we have absolutely nothing to hide. Maybe give him the phone to look at which will eliminate him feeling the need to snoop. Once he realizes that you have absolutely nothing to hide, he will stop snooping and start trusting more

Change your password or create one if you don't already have one. Sit him down and say you know he's doing it, and you'd like to know why he is. If he still denies it then explain why it's not acceptable anyway. I don't look through my partners phone and he doesn't look through mine. Relationships need privacy too, neither of us are entitled to know everything the other is doing, plus it's better that way. He needs to respect your privacy and know where you stand on it

My bf only goes through my phone if it keeps going off when I'm not around. And he checks to see what it is. Otherwise he usually just uses my phone to look stuff up.

I’ve asked him and he’s said he hasn’t and that he’s not admitting to something he hasn’t done. But I can tell by the look on his face it’s a lie and now he’s sulking

Where as i have nothing to hide as I’m quiet an open person anyway id be annoyed by this behaviour. 
He clearly doesn’t trust you. You need at ask what his problem is, especially if you don’t go through his phone too. 
Theres a huge difference between asking to use it coz his phone has died or he has no signal, ect and just picking up your phone and looking through it while you are having a shower. 
My phone has fingerprint ID as well as a pin lock mainly because i don’t want my daughter downloading things without permission. I don’t feel the need to search through a guys phone, even if i need to borrow it. This guy has issues here. I wouldn’t be happy or leaving my phone near him.
