When to start

Question

Ok ladies!! Imtrying the ovulation test again. Just ended my period when should I start and do it first pee? And why do isee multiple ladies post multiple strips in one day? Do I do it more then once in a day? I’m on Cd 6. 
Let me add we are trying for #2 and man this shit is hard. It’s been 8 months.

Hey, I think how many times per day you test depends on how short/long your LH surge is. Some women seem to only need to take one test a day and get positives... I tried twice a day for about 14 days in one of my cycles a few months back and still didn’t manage to get a positive... despite still coming on my period like clockwork. So I’ve personally given up on OPKs because it’ll get too expensive if I did 3-5 a day for around 2 weeks each cycle. Instead I’m now using the Fertility Awareness Method, although this is my first month charting etc.  
With the OPKs, ideally you’re supposed to avoid using your first pee of the day to let LH levels build up, avoid drinking too much in the four hours before you test and avoid peeing for the same four hour period. This is supposed to allow your LH levels to build up in your urine sample so that the test can accurately detect LH levels without being too diluted. But it was so hard for me to not pee or drink for four hours before testing without just using my first pee of the day. Maybe this is why I couldn’t get a positive OPK?? Who knows! But good luck with them! I just know I couldn’t get on with them at all. xx

I asked the same question a few days ago. The answers I got were
1. Start using them during your fertile week, one AM one PM. 
2. Start using them as soon as AF has left to be sure you catch it. 
I’m going with option 2 this cycle bc I have never tracked with OPKs and want to have a full cycle tested
