Looking into a specialist

Good evening ladies. My husband and I have been TTC since 2016 for #1 with no luck. Before Christmas I finally got a referral to see a specialist to see what we are not getting pregnant and he was ok with that until the clinic called him. Now he wants to wait longer. I wanted to reach out to y’all to see how your so reacted to going to a specialist and what did you do to help them come to terms with that being the next step and something could be wrong with either of you?
