I want a copper iud but a doctor said I couldn’t get one cause I haven’t given birth

I wouldn’t do it. I never had a kid before, got Paraguard, it shifted and I got pregnant.

Doctors don't want to do it because there has been law suits that women think the IUD caused them to be infertile but women who haven't had a child don't realize they are already infertile

I’m not sure about the copper ones but you can definitely get other iuds. Go get a second opinion from a different doctor
