advice needed please

So my husband and I have been ttc for about 9 months. we've done 2 rounds of Clomid first was 50mg and 2nd was 100mg. last round was in November AF was due December 15th(my bday) and it never showed. I took a test that day and it was negative but haven't taken one since because I'm nervous. I called my doctor to ask for a blood test and he agreed but now I'm scared to go get it done. My husband had 3 children from a previous relationship and I really want attleast one of my own. So I really need some advice or help on what I could do if I'm not pregnant already.
