Secondary Infertility?

Hey ladies, I’m 27 years old and I have 2 boys, ages 6 and 5. My husband has a 4 year old daughter. We have been trying to conceive a child together for over a year now and it hasn’t happened yet.

History:

Both my boys were C sections, 2011 and 2013, and I had a tummy tuck in 2014 because I didn’t think I was going to want any more kids.

I don’t have any other medical issues, but I do smoke and so does my husband. I’ve read that smoking can hinder conception on both the man and woman’s part.

I know we should be grateful that we already have 3 happy healthy children, but we can’t help but want one together. Maybe that’s selfish on our part.

Do you ladies think that the smoking is the issue? I know I should quit for everyone’s sake but I’m a little scared that even if I do quit, I still won’t get pregnant, meaning there’s a bigger issue. 🙁
