When should I get my Nexplanon

I am due in 9 weeks with my precious baby girl 💕 I know for a fact that I want birth control but I'm curious if it's a good idea to have it inserted during my stay right after giving birth or wait a few weeks until my body isn't in pregnancy mode and my hormones go back to normal. I know I won't be having sex at least the first 6 weeks until I'm cleared by the doctor so I'm not worried about getting pregnabt back to back (I would cry). Has anyone tried both? Or has anyone tried one way and was sarisfied/ dissatisfied?

I personally had the nexplanon as my birth control and it was the WORST experience.. I got it so I wouldn't have to remember to take the pill everyday and I should have just stuck with the pill. I had uncontrollable, non stop bleeding for almost 9 months. migraines 4 times a week.. I would look into other options

You should wait until your 6 week check up. I’ve never heard of them inserting birth control like that in the hospital

Also: I had Nexplanon before my pregnancy so I know it's a good fit. my question is if I should wait a few weeks because Idk if my hormones not being back to normal right away and then throwing in more hormones from the Nexplanon .
