birth control pills

Okay ladies. I have been on birth control for about a month now & I have been on my period for almost 3 weeks now. bleeding super heavy. I have been on birth control before & it's never done this. I'm not sure what I should do. every time it's gets light the next day it's heavy again. just unsure on what I should do?
