Kegels

I’ve been doing kegels for the past week, but I feel like it’s kinda hard. I tell myself I’m not doing them right because it takes a lot to do them! It shouldn’t be hard right cause I’m not doing anything just laying down. I read that you shouldn’t be tightening your core or butt. So now I’m making sure I’m not doing that, but it’s still hard lol. I hold for 10 seconds and rest for 10 seconds for a total of 10 rounds. Are kegels just hard to do or am I doing them wrong..
