help please

so about a week ago i got what appeared to be a small rash that i left unnoticed.. about 2 days later it started to get a little painful, i didnt really acknowledge it even then and i continued about my day, after that it was pretty much unbearable, i took a look at it was way more red than this current picture, i proceeded to put on neosporin and have been since i got the rash, i dont know if this could have occurred because i had shaved about a week and a half before and my hair was growing back in, plus i took a laxative and had some pretty mild diarrhea, a pharmacist told me to put on vaseline and it has seemed to help alot, any input will help
