Birth Control Help?

so my boyfriend and I are long distance and haven't had sex yet, but are planning to once I'm 18 (August) and have birth control. I want to get the copper IUD but am worried on how to get it. my parents are incredibly controlling, emotionally abusive, and strict and I cannot go to them for help. I don't have a lot of money and would go to Planned Parenthood but I don't know how that would go. I also have never been to a gyno because my mom refuses to let me go. please help I'm trying to be smart with my sexual health
