June 22nd baby#1... flying?🤔✈️

Hello ladies, we’re expecting our first baby June 22nd (going to be later I know it🤦🏻‍♀️😂)
Just a few things..
Firstly, thought I’d share I’ve recently got back in contact with a childhood friend! She moved away but now pretty near and we are meeting back up next week!
She is also pregnant with the exact same due date given for her baby🙈 I just thought oo small world. I know there’s probably lots of you lovely ladies due then aswell, so who else shares this guesstimate date 😍😍 I’d love to know and make some friends at a similar stage to me!
Next I have a quick question! My fiancé was thinking about sneaking in a holiday abroad mid March. If all being well has any body got any tips for keeping comfy on a flight when pregnant. Looking at places 4 hours or less away only.
Get pretty anxious on flights although not scared of flying if that makes sense!

Hi there! First off, congrats on the pregnancy 😃 I'm due exactly one week after you and I am flying begin April, which my doctor has cleared me for. He told me to walk a lot during the flight to prevent thrombosis, to drink lots of water, and to wear those special socks that help your blood circulation. I hope any of this helps! I'm nervous too about flying while pregnant, but I'm sure we'll both be fine 😃

My sister in law and I are both due June 26th 😂😂🙈 which is my husbands grandfather birthday and 4 days before my husbands birthday 😂😂😂 it’s gonna be a crazy time for us for sure!!

My due date is June 22nd! 🎉 my husband and I are going on a babymoon in a little over 3 weeks! We’ll be flying from Texas to London and Dublin. My doctor said it was totally okay, just make sure to do all the things that have already been mentioned by others. I’m nervous about how uncomfortable I’ll be during the 8 hour flight, but it’ll be worth it for one last big vacation!

I recommend trying to get an outside seat. Even for a short trip you’ll be in the bathroom at least once, especially since you’ll be drinking lots of water. The special socks are compression or TED socks, and Amazon has tons of options. If you have any short connections I would also recommending checking with the stewardess to see if they can call ahead to check on your next gate. Running from A to G is already not fun, I couldn’t even imagine doing it with a big bump. Lastly, snacks. Lots and lots of snacks.

I’ve flown pregnant many times. Yes to everything previous posters have mentioned. Taking walks down the aisle to stretch your legs, compression socks, etc. One thing I will add is when you’re st the airport going through TSA, make sure you go through a metal detector or talk to a TSA agent about “opting out” and getting a pat down instead of going through that big machine where you put your hands in the air. I’ve heard from many people that it’s not good for baby. When you get a pat down, a female TSA agent will put you aside and pat down your body while you’re fully clothed. You will have the option to do this in plane view or have privacy. Its a fairly quick process and then you’ll be on your way! Good luck!

Congrats to you and your fiancé! I almost share a guesstimate due date! June 21. And I plan to fly in March for a bday trip to Hawaii (about 4-6 hour flight I believe). I don’t have any flying tips to share as I’ve never flown pregnant (or been pregnant) before, so would love to hear what you find!

Hey girl! I’m due June 22nd as well 😊 As far as flying, it’s totally safe as long as you’re low risk for complications. Just periodically get up to stretch your legs and walk a little bit and drink a ton of water to stay hydrated. Wear super comfortable clothes and just try to relax. I researched the hospital in the area of wear I was going just to have an idea in case I needed to go there. I flew around 24 weeks with my son and it went smoothly. My flight was only about 3 hours.
