Has anyone flown with a two week old?

My main concern is her getting sick. Any tips?

I wouldn't do it personally, especially with the flu being so crazy this year. They automatically send newborns to the ER with fever (they'll do a spinal sample) and congestion because that tiny they can easily stop breathing or lose weight. In a plane, if someone coughs near you, you're kinda out of luck. I'd postpone it until more like 3 or 4 months.

I just flew with my 4 week old baby on an 8hr flight. I wore her in my boba wrap and she did great. It's actually really nice to fly when they're this young because they sleep through most of it. Her pediatrician was fine with it but did suggest I keep her close, which I did. Tips: make sure your baby is nursing or sucking during take off and landing, helps with the change in pressure.

I flew when my son was 5 weeks and my pediatrician said that since I was nursing he was not concerned. He also suggested nursing at take off and landing to help with the pressure on their ears and I did that and my son didn’t have any issues.

I’m planning on flying when my daughter is 3 weeks. I asked my ob last week at my appointment and he said I can absolutely fly with her. He said especially if I’m nursing- but just to baby wear her and she will be just fine. I’m sure there will be a lot of strong feelings on this 😬
