Quick question 🤔

I've just had my first appointment with the midwife since finding out a week and a half ago that I was expecting through a hpt. It is my first pregnancy and I'm not really sure how things go but when I went in she's basically ran over a few things gave me a book and sent me on my way with an appointment for the 12th of Feb. I've had no bloods done or anything, I just feel like I have been left hanging. Is this the norm? By the time I get to the appointment on the 12th I should be round about 12-13 weeks 🤔 anyone's experiences and thoughts are appreciated 💕
