Birth certificate?

Hi mommas, idk if this is a dumb question or not, but have you guys received your little ones birth certificate? Does it get mailed to you? Or do I need to pick it up somewhere? My daughter was born the beginning of November and I feel like it’s kind of taking awhile?

I would call. Because i see everyone saying they had to pick it up but where i live they send it to you automatically as well as the social security card too.

mine came in mail 2wks ago.. DD. Born.. 11-17

I had to order it with the State Department of Health. I had the choice to pick it up or have it mailed. Apparently they don't automatically send it to you anymore.

You have to go and pick it up. They only send their social security card and medical card

In CA, you have to go to the County Clerks office to obtain a birth certificate.

In Louisiana they said they are just mailing out October now.

I live in PA and it was automatically mailed.

I had to pay for his while in the hospital and they mailed that along with a social security card.
