BreathableBaby blankets?!

Hi ladies, I have been trying to crib train my daughter for about a week now with really no success at all. Although I did notice that I can get her to nap in her crib if she has her lovey which is a blanket. Which obviously that’s dangerous for her to sleep with so I always remove it once she’s completely out and I have left the room. She is 3 months old and can hold her head up/move it side to side with no problem. After doing research I learned about a brand called BreathableBaby and they’re lightweight blankets that they can apparently breathe through. Have any of you used them? If so, are they actually trustworthy?

We started sleep training our daughter between 3-4 months and she ended up an amazing sleeper. There were elements of letting her cry, but never for too long of a time before going back to soothe her and reassure her everything is ok. So you don’t have to wait 6, 7, 8 plus months to sleep train. You do what is right for you and the baby — trust your mommy instincts 😊 keep in mind though that 4 months has a lot of development for the baby and may make sleep in general more difficult. 
With that being said, I’d be more concerned about strangulation with a blanket versus suffocation. Could you use one of those little lovies you buy that has a little stuffed animal attached to the middle of a small blanket? Those are too small to strangle, but then again it does have a small stuffed animal... or could you cut a piece of the blanket so it’s small (like a 10x10 size), but enough for her to hold and rub her fingers on? I’m sure a tailor would be able to finish the edges nicely for you if you went that route... I’d also recommend asking your pediatrician what their thoughts/recommendations are for anything you try regarding a sleep aid and it’s safety. Good luck!

No blanket is “trustworthy” at that age. She could get it wrapped around her neck and strangle herself. You can ether keep doing what you’re doing or let her cry it out until she falls asleep. But a blanket in her crib is not safe.

Muslin blankets are nice but always be cautious like you are.

I checked out the website. It says the top and bottom layer are made of modal and the middle layer is made of polyester. That's three layers. And polyester isn't breathable. I wouldn't trust it

Nooooo 🙅🏻 no blankets before the age of 1. And even then, it's still iffy. I'd never trust this company.

I wouldn’t do it. Have you tried a Zipadee Zip? Its kind of a wearable blanket, but it helps with the startle reflex and is safe for rolling babies. My son loves to grab the blanket from the inside and make a fist while putting it in his mouth. He looks like a little penguin flapping his hands around inside the arm triangles, but I think it soothes him. It might help your baby, too?
