Will my partner always feel the strings of my IUD during sex?

I got my IUD inserted about a month and a half ago and my boyfriend says he feels the strings when he goes all the way inside me. He says it's gotten less intense since I've gotten it inserted up until now, but he call still feel them. I went to my doctor and she said she didn't want to cut the strings any shorter due to them being as short as she wants them to be to make sure she can pull it back out when the time comes. She also said the strings have rounded out and are no longer pointing straight out. So will more time pass and my boyfriend will feel the strings less and less? Or will he always feel them no matter what? 😰 This is my first insertion obviously.
