Cloth diapers anyone?

First time mom here, really want to try & use cloth diapers on my twins. 
Do you ladies have any recommendations on which brand to go with? 
Advice & Tips are more than welcome.

My one tip is that you don’t have to go all in to enjoy the benefits. We cloth only during the day and as a result have made a 64 pack of diapers last two months. 
I’ve got 8 bumgenius pockets which are working great for us. Because it’s not very many we wash every two or three days along with other baby related cloth. We don’t have a particularly complicated wash routine, but I do machine rinse all the diapers when they come off to keep them from smelling

A friend of mine uses them she said the ones with inserts are best? Also she bought 12 and was complaining she had needed to buy more .. newborns roughly go through 10-12 or more diapers a day .. so unless you want to wash daily ( it’s hard to do anything unnecessary daily after having one baby  let alone two) I’d get enough to wash every 3 days or so.

I prefer liners and covers rather than pocket nappies or all in ones (the cover often stays dry so you can reuse it and have less washing to do) also ones with velcro tabs rather than snaps (velcro is faster and easier as your baby gets more wriggly). I use trifold cotton liners, cotton because it's nicer on their bum and the trifold is a compromise between absorbency, convenience, and drying quickly. Over last winter I used the old fashioned flat cloth nappies that you had to fold up because my trifolds didn't dry but I've got a better washing machine now that spins them way drier. Saying that, having a few of the flat nappies is really handy, you'll find a bunch of uses for them.

I use all-in-ones and I use BambinoMio brand as they came well recommended. I love using them, they’re really easy... but I do have to do a wash for them every day, so get enough to last a couple of days at least. They come with biodegradable liners that you just throw away, which makes dealing with the waste a bit more pleasant! (I also have a pack of biodegradable disposables, just in case.)

Brand is style is totally personal to you. it's best to try out several different styles before committing to just one to really get a feel for what you like and what works best for your baby. If you are on fb, Fluff Love & CD Science is a great place to start, there an admin or mod can help set you up with a proper wash routine which is really the most important part about cloth. Washing cloth is not the same as washing regular laundry, so you really want to make sure you have it right. They also have a sister group more for photo a and sharing their love of cloth Fluff Love Photostream. Their website also has a ton of information as well as a washing machine index and a detergent index, fluffloveuniversity.com. If you plan to cloth full time, you will need at least 24 diapers to get you through every other day, more if you want to go longer between washing. You really don't need much besides the diapers really. Just a wet bag or two to put dirty diapers in when on the go and a laundry basket to store dirty diapers until wash day. The more air circulation the better, but if you prefer, you can buy a pail liner for the hamper to put your dirty diapers in. We've been using cloth diapers and cloth wipes exclusively for 2+ years and we love it.

I use Buttons brand & BumGenius. I had planned to do cloth from the beginning but didn’t have the money/resources to start my stockpile to that point. I purchased a few Lil Joey brand all in ones in a newborn size but my newborn was going through 10-14 diapers a day. It would have been way too much laundry IMO, at least for me starting out. We started doing cloth for most of the day & just using disposables at night. I plan to try to use the cloth ones more & make the complete switch. But so far the combination is working for us :)
