Open relationships...do they work?

What do you guys think?? Anyone had a successful open relationship?

Personally, as long as there are rules / boundries and neither of you break them then it can work. I see no problem in it which explains why I'm in one. Haha. We are happy, in-love and don't have any problems with that aspect of our life. But again, to each their own. My thoughts and opinions aren't the norm on this topic.

my husband  parents  had it and it didnt end well his dad broke some of  the rules they had so they got device  (other things happen in there relationship not just the ipen relationship part) but to me i would  never do it i dont get the purpose of it if you love the person  your with why fuck another  guy so stupid  buy hey thats my opinion of it but if you want to do it then have rules and of course  no feelings for the other person if theres feelings involved  it would mostly ruin your relationship

I love the idea of it, but I personally don't think it would work. Humans are emotional creatures and. relationship is one of the most emotional things you can be involved in.

I don't have one, but I do have a friend who does. it's worked for them for the 15 years they've been together. they love it because they want to be together, but don't like monogamy. it's not for everyone, but it works for some.

I’d never consider one. I love my guy way too much to even think about sharing him. 
I know monogamy isn’t for everyone though. So as long as there is trust, communication, rules and respect, I don’t see why it couldn’t work?
