Upgrading rings?

I'm torn. My husband asked me last night if I wanted new rings.  We married young and didn't have much money to spend on a ring. I tend to be sentimental and I love my ring but feel like I might not mind having a new one.  I also think it might make my husband feel better since he's the one who brought it up and seemed like he wanted to get me a new one.. Is it stupid and shallow to get a new ring? If I did get a new one, I might consider resetting the diamond from my current one into a necklace so I can still wear it and keep that sentimental component for me.

You can have your diamond set into a ring as well and add more diamonds to it. That's an option! A lot of people change or upgrade their rings as their marriage goes on there's nothing wrong with it. Your marriage and life is growing so why can't your ring? 💁

When my wife and I married she got me a less expensivr ring and recently surprised me with an upgraded one i still wear the first ring in my right hand. I love my first ring and my new one.

Why don’t you keep your ring and get a nice stack ring and have the both, 
or if he can get yours turned/twisted half the new one half the old one, then you can look back at where you can from and look at how far you’ve come?

Personally I wouldn’t because to me that specific ring would represent the day, so I’d only get a nee ring if I was renewing my vows or something. But it’s totally up to you and your husband! If you want to go for it, you can still keep the old one somewhere safe just for memories sake.

I'd say go look around at rings and see how you feel about it.  My husband and I have gone and seen other rings just to look but I still love mine more even though there are other gorgeous rings.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. My husband and I have talked about it too and he told me when he upgrades my ring, I should just put my old one in my right hand and I liked that idea because I'd still want to wear it.
