White people using the “n word”

A group from my class (all white) and I just had a massive about this topic, all of them making jokes using the n word and I, being the only girl of colour in my course, was obviously completely against it. This is language that they also constantly use in class and much as they like to say they do it as a joke I just don’t believe that.

The situation got largely out of hand but surprisingly they were all opposing to my point of it being highly inappropriate.

What are all your opinions on the matter?

I did not think that some of this teenage generation would be so ignorant to the value of this topic.
