Who all had small wedding ceremonies at the courthouse, who got married at a church, and who went all out with a big ceremony?

We’re getting married in December. The other night I mentioned being ok with just marrying at the courthouse no need to go all out as we already have bills to pay and are saving for a house. He said he’s happy that I was thinking that.. but I just realized I kind of want to do the whole beautiful wedding dress thing. (Idk if it’d be weird at the courthouse) lol So maybe we will go the church route..
