Handling depression without medication
At 14, I was put on antidepressants. I didn't like them. They made me feel like a whole different person, and not in a good way. I was a sad shell of my former self. I decided to go off of them at 17. I was happy with a boyfriend and friends and school and extracurriculars. Now I'm 20, single and still slightly hung up on him, I trust no one, I have no social life, and I'm a waitress with an associates degree and it's miserable. I can feel it all start to creep back up on me again. It's getting bad. I have not hurt myself and don't intend to. But I've been breaking down over every little thing. How can I cope without medication?
