Can you self tan at home when pregnant!?

First time I have tanned pregnant and will be the last but I was so white and needed to darker up to feel a bit better about myself.  
But people are saying it’s really dangerous 😭😭 I used the Bondi sands foam....

I emailed Bondi sands to ask about this and they said it's completely safe. Tan doesnt penetrate deep enough into the skin to be absorbed. Plus it technically is on your first layer of 'dead skin'. So it's safe to use during pregnancy. They did say you may want to do a test patch though as hormones can affect how your body takes to the tan. Mine washed off waaaay quicker than usual

It was summer when I first found out I was pregnant (and I don’t tan naturally) so I used at home tanning solution couple of times a week for the first few months- just make sure the room you’re in is well ventilated and do a patch test first even if you use it all the time. 
To be honest it’s the only time I’ve had THAT GLOW the whole pregnancy 🤰🏼 ☀️
