Is it normal to feel this way?

Hello all. I had my tubal reversal 10/19/17 so we’ve had 3 cycles to conceive. I just got my period so I’m out this month. I’m 40 with 3 children from a previous marriage. My husband is 35’with no biological children. I got pregnant with my first 3 sooooo easy. I know I was much younger but I guess I assumed I would get pregnant immediately after the reversal. I feel like maybe it didn’t work or something is wrong with me. My husband wants a baby so bad so it kills me every month for that bfn. 😐 I have an appointment Friday with my surgeon to discuss next steps. I’m feeling like I spent all that money for nothing.

Update: 1/30/18 I had a HSG done yesterday which showed a patent right tune with fill and spill and unsure about the left tube. It filled but she did not see where it spilled out. Good news is that my AMH was 2.64 which my doctor referred to as perfect for conceiving and at least 1 good tube (maybe even 2)! So I’m feeling very hopeful now!!
