Sex for a Good Job Recommendation
A little backstory. I used to work at this school - as a 2nd grade teacher - and I was miserable. the parents didn't care, children were held unaccountable, and other teachers cared more about drama than the kids educations.
Anyways, we had an pretty good principle who was very supportive and caring. He always went out of his way to help me, and when another teacher literally ripped everything off my classroom walls he was there trying to get shit figured out, or so I thought.
He left about 4 months before the kids got out, and everything went downhill. the assistant principal decided to trash the complaints of the other teacher and blamed it on me being 21, and my brain not being fully developed. (yeah, his exact words!)
Fast forward to now. I quit that job asap, and started focusing on school. I just finished student teaching at an amazing school and got an email from the university about another position coming available at this great school. So I applied by importing one of my old applications and just updating it a little.
Well the old principal that quit my previous school was listed as a recommendation - nothing strange about that, right? You wouldn't think so.
Here are the messages. I deleted one in the middle that said the name of my clinical educator where I student taught. my response looked like this "(her name) and oh
okay, I was getting frustrated" - giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm just baffled at his lack of respect and his indecency towards a former employee. As soon as I got that first message I went back on my application and changed him to a new reference who wouldn't dare do something this disgusting.
P.S. I blurred out all names and places because I don't want something like this to give other people and these schools a bad rep. This is just a sick 40 year old man who probably gets his rocks off by intimidating young women. And honestly idk how to handle this. I felt like throwing up, crying, and so much more.
I guess what I want to know is how would you react, and what would you do in a situation like this?
