1CM dilated at 32 weeks??

Question

Went into the hospital with contractions every 6 mins on Monday they had to admit me to make sure I wouldn’t dilated any more! Gave me 2 rounds of steroid shots for baby girls lungs & then some antibiotics and magnesium through IV. Is it normal to already be dilated at 32 weeks? How many of y’all went through the same thing and how many weeks did you make it after? I was able to come home this morning THANK GOD she was able to stay put!

I was dilated 2cm since 23 weeks. I’m now 35 weeks ! Also was given the steroid shot for his lungs !

You can be dilated for weeks. Don’t worry.

I started dilating at 24 weeks and having contractions with my first one. I got the steroid shots and shots to stop labor and it worked. Unfortunately at 28 weeks I began to develop preeclampsia so I only made it to 32 weeks before I was delivered. During that time I had a second round of steroid shots. I do feel they helped my baby develop and mature  because she was only 2 pounds 12 ounces but didn't have any issues and breathed on her own from birth.

I was 4cm dialated at 34 weeks and having contractions with my second child due to a uti and didn't end up delivering until 38 weeks
