Midwife or OBGYN?

I am 4 weeks +2 pregnant with my second baby.  Just found out my family doctor, who delivered my first child, is no longer doing OB. So I am searching for a new provider.  What are your experiences and what do you recommend?

my ob office had an ob, midwife, and a nurse practitioner. they said whichever is on call when I go to have my baby is who I get. well I absolutely hated my ob, he was a self righteous asshat, so I really hoped I didnt get him. turns out I had to be induced when the midwife was on call, I lovvveedddd her, she was calm, answered my questions without getting annoyed or bored, it was a calm environment and atmosphere. and she delivered my baby just fine :)

It depends on what you’re looking for—in general, midwives are more laid back and less likely to jump to interventions, which is what I want. I’ve loved them so far and feel like they’re much more down to earth and better bedside manner. Obviously there are great OBs and bad midwives, so you’ll want to see who you click with. I’d also tell them what you’re hoping for with your labor and see what their response is...

I always have had to have an obgyn due to being extremely high risk. I always say go and interview a few before you pick. 
Ask questions like:
Epidural or natural birth? 
Will you deliver my baby or will it be possibly you are not on call?

I always go with a midwife because I feel more respected and much more comfortable.
