How to respond to my Passive Aggressive Boyfriend

My boyfriend and I had an argument about a week ago that was blown completely out of proportion. Resulted in a break up 😳. It’s been a week and he calls me to set a day to sit down and talk about it. That day is this coming Tuesday! Also, while we were on the phone he mentioned how I told him “to never talk to me again” while arguing (purely out of anger).

How do I tell my passive aggressive boyfriend that the reason why I said that was triggered from what he said to me without making him mad or triggering his passive aggressive behavior....???

Is dealing with a passive aggressive person even worth it???
