is this real?

i met a guy on Tinder a little over a month ago, we met up on New Year’s eve and spent the night together and hooked up. He knew from the start i was looking for a relationship and reassured me he wanted the same thing. Now about a month later we barely see each other and when we do it’s usually just sex. He’ll buy me food and talk to me when we’re together in person, but he’s soooo bad at keeping a conversation going on the phone. I care about him a lot and see a future with him for sure, but I need to know every few hours that he remembers I exist, and he’ll go almost a whole day without acknowledging me at all. I’m falling in love with this guy and when we’re together in person it’s great and i’m perfectly happy, but when we’re apart (which is the majority of the time) I just sit around and wonder why he doesn’t want to talk to me. Is he just telling me what i want to hear and using me for sex or does he mean what he says and is just oblivious to my need for attention?
