Is this normal?!

I’ll be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow, today I had cramps like af was going to come walked around a little and they eased up. Few hours after that I went to use the bathroom and noticed a dark brown small blood clot. I feel fine now no cramps or anything, SO told me not to worry but I’m scared as heck this is my 3rd pregnancy and never experienced this with my other 2 pregnancies. Has this happened to anyone? I really don’t want to go to the ER and there’s nothing wrong my first ob appointment is next week..HELP
