Help me understand🤔😥???

So we've been ttc for 8 months now. I have a very consistent cycle, 26-27 days and always have been. So this month af didn't show on day 26, 27, 28, so we get super excited. I take a test and it's negative🤔 Fast forward 3 more days, still no af. We decided that I would take a test this morning, I pee on the stick, set it on the counter and as i wipe, there's blood😱😡😣?!? Not only am I not pregnant and now af is here. I'm so confused 🤷‍♀️. Why was af so late?? Is everything ok with my cycle???
