Nuchal scan

Hello everyone!!

I have a doubt.. yesterday I had a blood test since my gyn told me it was time for this exam in order to detect the Down syndrome,etc. but he only talked about a blood test, while I read that I also have to do an ultrasound before 13 weeks ( the famous nuchal scan). Someone also told me that in the nuchal we would able to see the gender!

What was your experience? Was it only a blood test or did you also have an ultrasound?

It’s my first pregnancy and I’m so scared that I’m not doing all tests!
