Facial expressions?

My baby is 5 and a half months old and doesn't mimic my facial expressions. Is this normal?

I think what that milestone means is that she can create facial expressions that are similar to common ones, like she can smile socially when smiled at and not just spontaneously. Not like... she will copy more intricate ones. At that age you’re probably looking at sticking out your tongue and smiling at best.

My son is 8 months old and doesn’t mimic anything I do haha. He does things he wants when he wants.
