I wanted to announce on Valentines Day through social media but I'll only be 6w and haven't had even my first prenatal appointment/ultrasound so I don't feel comfortable just incase somethings wrong. Would April Fools Day be weird? I want to but SO says there'd be too many people that would be confused and think it's still a joke. If not I'll probably just wait until Mothers Day in May since I'll be 20w.

Why do you want to coordinate with a holiday? Just announce on a random day.  Definitely not on April Fools. And anyway, on holidays, the social media feeds are overly busy....on a random day, it'll get noticed more readily.

Bad idea. No one would believe you and some people would lash out at you about how it’s not nice when there are people struggling with infertility and what not. I would say, stay away from announcing on holidays, then you really enjoy the special moment of telling:) people aren’t distracted by anything else so it’s a positive thing that shows up on their feed:)

April Fools Day is the same day as Easter this year, so if you celebrate that holiday, you can do an Easter themed announcement. Or you can just do a cute Spring themed announcement. I’m always hesitant to share any real news on April’s Fools Day, but it really depends on the attitude of your friends and how they’ll take it.
