my husband and i will start ttc soon,i have had an open heart surgery due to something i was born with 8 months and they had to change one of my valves to a mechanical valve which requires life time use of blood thinners, i have talked to my cardiologist and he is really optimistic gave me the green light to have a baby as long as it is planned because we have to make changes on the blood thinner from coumadin to heparin shots and schedule more frequent follow ups. my question is has anyone been through this? anyone with a prostectic heart valve? i cant find no stories about women who have been through it thank you!!
