Need advice!!

Alrighty, I know this is more for periods, but I am currently on mine and I’m feeling super emotional. I really need some advice on guys, I have been trying to get to know this guy for a few weeks now and he is very dry. He is friends with one of my closest guy friends, so I talk to my guy friend about him but he always says “he’s just awkward”. I was on a call with the both of them and the guy that I like was being himself since he was with his friend, oh my it was funny. But it’s sort of back to the same old dry conversations. I have no idea what to do, with my past experiences with relationships I really need to have a good guy in my life. I’ve been single for about a year and a half now from a heart break and took some down time for myself. Now that I’m ready for something, and found a good guy I’m afraid I’m probably just going to get hurt in the end. Please send some advice my way!!
