Rash? What from?

Hello! My son recently had a rash appear on his stomach. What does it look like it could be from? I haven’t taken him to the doctor yet because it doesn’t seem to bother him and I have no sick days because of maternity leave.

It looks like it’s either viral or heat rash

Was he sick with a fever at all before the rash appeared? My son just had a four day fever (with almost no other symptoms besides being sleepy) and on the fifth morning his fever broke and he had the rash. Ended up being roseola, a very common and mostly harmless virus.

My daughter has this right now.  She did have a fever a few days before it showed up.  She doesn't seem bothered by it at all.  The doctor told me it's likely a viral rash.  I was given a hydrocortisone cream and it is finally starting to get better.  I have also been putting her in cotton/light pajamas at night instead of fleece so she doesn't get too hot.
