I hear if you have a false positive,  sometimes it's because you miscarried before you even knew you were pregnant. Or could be an ectopic pregnancy. But, I heard the same about the frer gold tests! Buy a different kind, and wait a couple days to test again, or see the doctor

if it's frer gold, then yes. they have many negative reviews of false readings. though this is only for the one that says frer gold tests

Digitals need a lot more HCG then the line tests. If digitals are negative, it’s mostly because it’s to early.
