How did you girls know you were ready to have a baby and start ttc?

My husband and I had personal and career goals we wanted to accomplish.  We also wanted to wait until we had a certain amount saved before trying.  So glad we did...it would’ve been very difficult to meet our aspirations with a baby in the house.

You never are. My pregnancy was unplanned at 19 and doing perfectly fine. Im now 23.

After I got married, bought a house. Just basically had my shit together before bringing a child into this world.

If I’d met my husband sooner we probably would have had a baby sooner, but even though I’ve always been broody we wanted at least a year just us after we got married, then we gave it a few more months for our finances to get to a better place.

When the idea of being tied to that person for the rest of forever, EVEN if you guys break up, doesn't scare you 
when you think about them seeing your v stretch to the size of a cantaloupe, and it doesn't make you super nervous or embarrassed 
when you feel you have had enough time focusing on each other as a couple, and will be okay with dividing, and sharing, your attention 
when you have learned to get through fights and resolve them, and communicate effectively. 
And of course having money every month for necceties, and then some. having your own place, a car, stable job(s). These are all things I took into account before ttc

I've always loved kids, and working with kids. I get it from my mom. 
I was a helping hands kid in my preschool, (I was a non disability kid in a disability classroom) as I got older the little kids came to my backyard and play because I still had my old toys and didn't mind playing with them. I was a teacher, I am a nanny. so I've always been "ready" 
but I also knew I wanted a house, a marriage, and a supportive husband before kids, so I made sure to take protection seriously until those things. and after they did we started trying. 
but I'm still not ready, I'm 44 days away and freaking out! but in the end I know my husband and I will learn as we go!
